Looking at shape in terms of some nice outfits. I started off by making these weird characters with despondent faces and floating body parts. Although they don't really look like outfits I suppose they are just pictorial versions of clothes.
They were fun to make, and as they are only constructed from simple forms it was quite easygoing. However I'd be a bit reluctant to present them to a group of people seriously..
Dancing
Collages of things with accessories. I like how they don't resemble anything like people or animals, and the combination of them being unnerving yet sweet is funny to me.
Out of all of the exercises within vis lang, I found shape the most difficult to interpret. It's something I don't normally consider (consciously, anyway). Half way through the pages I was producing, I was agonising over what shape actually was, and if what I was doing was actually too line-based. Turns out these things are easier when you don't think too much..
