Nice Outfit pt. 2

After finding a book on men's fashion in the library, the nice outfits I was making took a complete u-turn. I really liked drawing details like sleeves, lapels, and fastenings.

My drawings then veered off from menswear to historical menswear when I looked at some photographs of various hussar uniforms.

Finding these examples of outfits influenced my final three portraits. I definitely prefer the first two compared to the last image. I tried to mix up the compositions by doing a closeup, however I think it may have worked better with more small details, and if I had continued using gold paper.
