Brion Gysin

I found this footage of Brion working on some of his paintings. The atmosphere of this video is excellent.

Brion Gysin was a long-time friend of Burroughs, and a huge influence on his writing and possibly even his later interest in visual art.

The invention of the 'cut-up technique' is attributed to Gysin, which Burroughs later incorporated into his writing. The pair also collaborated on a range of work together.

Their collaborative relationship shows the link between literature and art. They are like art soulmates.
