Megacrit Feedback

This morning we had a megacrit to basically show what we intend to produce, and how we may go about it. But with a couple more workshops still to go, anything could happen or change the course of what I'm doing.

Essentially, I'm doing a publication of Burroughs vibe (so not necessarily portraits of him, obvious stuff) more to do with tone and feeling. It will be made from printed material, and assembled later in the project (where I will not only arrange the material, but hopefully bring in elements of design to create a more professional outcome).

In the crit I presented my sketchbook, as well as my mono prints from yesterday to demonstrate how I feel monoprinting could benefit my work.

Feedback sheet

I forgot to ask a question on the feedback sheet!! If I think of one maybe I'll ask around the class for help.

Stuff to note from the comments:

• Monoprinting/Line quality - people seemed to think this print technique was well-suited to the way I've been drawing in this project. The technique also provides texture and is a very quick method which is process-based.

• Word & Image - it was mentioned that including the quotes could be a good idea!! The words give context to the image, but at the same time they really don't because they are made up junkie-spiel. It's like the words are an attempt to guide the reader/audience, but they just make them more lost. I like this.

• Immediate, naive, rapid, expression, strange, silly, spooky, humour, experimental, organic, crazy
Thanks, all
