Mono Print Induction

I had my mono print induction yesterday, here are some of the prints that I made. I did try a small bit of shape-based mono printing, however the monotype/drawing method was my favourite.

This is because it was easy and quick to do, and the results were immediate and had a level of experimentation to them as you had to draw/write backwards and couldn't really plan (unless you did a sketch on the blank paper beforehand, which you could trace??)

Although I had my rough sketches in mind when I was doing these monoprints, for the most part I just had to improvise or do some Burroughsy thinking to channel the right kind of images and words.

I like that the outcomes are weirdly funny and maybe unnerving and strange.

Mono printing was fun and I'd like to look into how I could make this method even more experimental and try and push what I've already done here.
