Fanart Poster | Part 1

This task was fun, but I made it not fun. I have things I like but when I have to remember them all at once I can't do it? It took me a while, but I went back to the first one I thought of.

The Thing (1982). It's one of my favourite movies and I'm not entirely sure why (Yeah there's antarctic hijinks and aliens, but is that fave-worthy? It just really gets to me) and since I get low-key excited about it, I thought that was a good reason to go with it.

Started off with some rough compositions of objects and scenes, before moving on to drawings of the blood test scene (a really good one). I had to figure out how I could arrange the elements, do I create a realistic or abstract/floating composition?

Another thought was to do fragile line drawings of all of the objects, overlapping them so they merge slightly, so that they don't have a definite start and end. But then I'd have to think about the line style and weight, so that it wasn't lost in the printing process. Decisions..
