This morning we discussed the beginnings of our proposals in groups. Here are some notes/considerations for my proposal and the project I want to undertake:
• Images will be conceptually-driven
• Based on articles and other written material surrounding various themes (each connected in some way?)
• Could take on the form of: a magazine cover, spot illustrations, editorial feature, or even a pamphlet intended to be inside a magazine that showcases the 6 illustrations together
• Physical applications: magazine mockups, posters and advertisements, web graphics and gifs, prints?
I want to be ambitious with my outcomes for this project, however I need to be sure that I don't attempt too much and that the outcomes end up being not so strong.
I want to focus on making the 6 illustrations that respond to six pieces of material, and then consider their contexts and applications. I don't want the contexts to dictate what I'm doing.
